22 Months

I feel like is say the same thing in every monthly update. But it's so true- I have no idea how 22 months could have already passed us by. Olivia, you have grown up so much in the past month. Everyday you shock us. You are incredibly smart and we love being able to help you learn and grow. You're finally starting to eat better. And you love chicken and ask for it all the time. You've also gain a healthy appreciation for chocolate milk (we went through 2 gallons of milk in 3 days!) You still love your books, but have really taken to imaginary play. You play with the kitchen your Dee Dee got you for Christmas daily. You tell us you want to "cook." You're such a good little mommy and take very good care of you babies. You also still enjoy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and can finally say Mickey, where as you used to call him "Mouse") and Bubble Guppies- but you ask to watch the "Fox and the Hound 2" movie your Gramma got you everyday. You watch it at least twice a day. You got a new cousin a couple of weeks ago when Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Brandon welcomed sweet baby Wyatt. You have gotten better about loving on him and aren't as jealous of him when I hold him. Sweet girl, you bring so much joy to so many people; and Mommy and Daddy feel incredibly blessed that the Lord chose us to be your parents.
You have an such a sweet spirit and we can't wait to see what He has in store for you.

21 months.

How can it be?
You, my sweet girl, are 21 months old.

We took you to see Santa tonight, you didn't have much to say to him.

I want to journal a sweet moment that happened today in the cake aisle at the grocery.

Mommy: "Olivia, do you want to make a birthday cake for baby Jesus?"
Olivia: "Jesus died."
Mommy: "Yes, baby, he did."
Dee Dee: "Yes, He died on the cross for us."
Olivia: "It's sad."
Mommy: "No sweetie! It's happy because now he's with God!"
Olivia: "With God." {Nodding her head and smiling.}

Moments like that tell me I'm doing something right.

20 months!

Olivia, my sweet girl, you are growing so fast.
Just the other morning when I was dropping you off to spend the day with Gran and Mimi I looked at you and it hit me. You're not a baby anymore. All the little baby features are gone. You are truly a little girl- and we couldn't be more proud.
You are so smart, the doctor was so impressed with your development at your last appointment. You love books and magazines. And I think you'd color all day long if I'd let you. You've started calling your Daddy Chance, it started as a means of getting his attention when you were frustrated and now you just think it's funny! You're vocabulary is HUGE! I'm guessing you're nearing 350 words. You looked at your Dee Dee the other day after she told you "no no" and asked her "what did I do wrong?" We are so proud of you and how well you communicate. People are so surprised when we're in the check out line and you're just babbling on about colors, someone that's sad, telling me a cow says moo, that your toes are in your shoes and that you want M&M's.
You have a lot of fun on our weekly play dates with your friend Adley. It's so fun for Miss Dana and me to watch you girls play. You ask about Adley all the time, especially if you hear me mention Miss Dana.
You're to the age now where you understand your movies. You're favorites are Finding Nemo, Little Mermaid, and Toy Story 3, but you still love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Bubble Guppies. We watched Beauty and the Beast and Snow White for the first time on Thanksgiving night. I loved being able to share a childhood favorite of mine with you!
You are growing and changing so fast. I feel like I'm going to blink and you'll be in kindergarten. We are so excited about all the fun things we have planned for you- Christmas parades, going to see Santa and gymnastics classes.

We love you more than life sweet girl!
Forever and ever,
Momma and Daddy

17 months

Olivia,
You are 17 months old.
You are growing so quickly. We love to watch you grow and learn.
Everyday you become more a "little girl" and less a "baby."
You are such a blessing, love-bug.
You have such a big personality. You've never met a stranger. You love to entertain.
Though sometimes you get your feelings hurt when someone in a store doesn't notice you.
You are such a tender soul. You have more compassion than I've ever seen in a small child.
You truly feel with people. I pray that you never lose that.
We love you precious girl, and we can't wait to see what the coming month has in store for us.

Forever and ever,
Mommy and Daddy

16 months

 Sweet girl- It's been 16 months since you came to us. 16 wonderful and happy months.
 You are the brightest light in our lives. You are such a joyful little girl; with the prettiest smile.

At 16 months:
You love to swim! We get in the pool almost everyday.
You are such a little "mommy" you love to play with your babies and your kitchen. Just yesterday we got you a toy stroller and high chair and you haven't stopped playing with them since.
You are getting much better about sleeping in your own bed. You usually wake up at around midnight- wanting to come to bed with us. Sometimes I can get you to lay back down for a few hours- sometimes not so much.
You love to have your toes painted. It's just precious. You sit so still and say "oohh" and "petty" {pretty}
Your vocabulary is growing in leaps and bounds. {Some of the words you can say: flower, duck, dog, cat, bye-bye, Daddy, Mommy, Dee-Dee, Gran, bible, baby, bird, lady bug, night-night, up, please, thank you, no, yes, book.}
You love to play with your toy make-up.
You love to read. I hope this is a passion that stays with you your whole life.
Your favorite tv shows are: Yo Gabba Gabba, Fresh Beat Band, Jack's Big Music Show, Bubble Guppies, Mickey Mouse and Olivia.
You're still the thirstiest child I've ever met- and you're still a good eater.

We love you baby girl.
Forever and always,
Mommy and Daddy

15 months

HOW can that be?? But I know that it is. My sweet girl turned 15 months old yesterday!

Oh Olivia, you are such a ray of sunshine!
At 15 months:
You LOVE books, and we love reading them to you {even if that means I have to read the Playful Puppy 200 times a day!}
You are such a good eater- we've yet to find anything that you don't like.
You drink insane amounts of juice everyday. {You're probably the thirstiest child I've ever seen}
You have a soft spot for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse {and love to dance the Hot Dog Dance!!}
You have a soft spot for Yo Gabba Gabba {and love to do the Wiggle Dance!!!}
You have an infectious smile. I've never seen your Daddy smile the way he does when he's watching you laugh and dance.

We are blessed beyond words to have you in our lives, and we can't imagine life before you.
Happy 15 month "birthday" sweet heart!

Mommy and Daddy love you!!!!!!
